Clintonville is nestled within the City of Columbus, just north of The Ohio State University and south of Worthington. One of the Columbus, Ohio’s most historic neighborhoods, Clintonville’s charm easy access to most areas of Central Ohio and many independent shops and restaurants make it an popular place to live.

The community was named for former U.S. Vice President George Clinton and was part of the land grants given to Continental Army soldiers in lieu of pensions in what used to be Wyandotte Indian territory. By the turn of the 20th century, Ohio State University professors and wealthy Columbus residents had built summer residences in Clintonville. Surrounding farmland was later turned into housing developments once streetcar lines extended north from the city’s core.

Today, many of the homes built in those early years and those rose from the ground in the years to follow are still standing. Traditional Clintonville houses often feature brick and stone exteriors and also include interior features like original hardwood floors and well-kept woodwork throughout.
