Bexley is a Columbus suburb located directly east of the state capital’s downtown. The city was founded as a village more than 100 years ago and features picturesque, tree-lined streets and parks. The historic suburb is known for its large houses and estates, including the Jeffrey Park Mansion, the home of The Ohio State University’s president and the Ohio Governor’s Mansion. The mansion has served as the official residence of Ohio governors since 1957 and remains that way today.
The Drexel Movie Theater is a 1930s era Bexley landmark that has been fixture on the Main Street strip near Capital University. The parcel on which Rubino’s is located is the only Main Street location that has always been independently run. Just to the east of the pizzeria stands Johnson’s Real Ice Cream, a long-standing family-run business that opened September 1, 1950. Last, but certainly not least, The Top Steak House is a 1950s supper club-style fine dining restaurant featuring live music nightly
