2017 Home Design Trends from the BIA Parade of Homes

2017 Home Design Trends from the BIA Parade of Homes

The 2017 BIA Parade of Homes was held in Cheshire Woods in Galena, Ohio. The annual event featured nine homes priced from the high $500s-$689,000 and showcased some of the hottest design trends for 2017.

If you are a fan of HGTVs Fixer Upper with Chip and Joanna Gaines, you’ll find yourself at home when touring this year’s parade. Rustic wood textures, white cabinetry, shiplap and weathered finishes are predominantly displayed throughout each property. Another noticeable trend is two-story living areas with dramatic lighting fixtures and windows that let in tons of natural light. ¬†Outdoor kitchens and fireplaces were also common place.

Here are a few photos. Enjoy!
